Our photographic offering is specially thought out & designed to accommodate Photographers of all levels, with all camera types. From “Happy Snappers” to the specialized Wildlife Professional – starting with our twice Daily Photographic Safaris, go out with one of our photographic field guides using our state of the art camera equipment for the duration of the safari to hone some newly acquired skills or brush up on existing skills.

Jaci’s Photographic Safari Vehicle

The Photographic Vehicle seats 4 guests, each guest has the opportunity to use our professional level DSLR camera and 100 – 400 lens, at the same being taught the necessary skills by our Photographic Guide or Resident Professional, Andrew Aveley.

Our Daily Photographic Safari goes out every evening and every morning, giving you the opportunity to experience the soft morning light, or get some dusty backlit images that Madikwe is known for.

Under the guidance of our photographic guide, you can go from NOT knowing how to operate a DSLR camera, to capturing spectacular images in a matter of a few hours.

The “Gimpro” Game Viewer camera mounts allow for stable low light shooting & take the weight of the camera off your hands

The Terrapin Hide

Water level photographic opportunities from the centre of our watering hole. The hide can be combined with our Daily Photographic Safaris.

The hide is accessible  24 hours a day through an underground / water tunnel & accommodates up to 8 photographers.

Fully equipped with Red LED interior lights, spotlights & radio with custom built Gimpro hide arms & single / double pano heads.

The West facing hide guarantees soft morning light & warm, backlit silhouettes in the late afternoon.

Andrew Aveley is a vibrant and passionate professional nature photographer who continually strives to help all who travel with him to push their own personal photographic boundaries mentally and physically while out in the field.  With years of technical and practical training, the quality of information will ensure that all photographers walk away with some new skill.

A true professional in all levels of his craft, he has a wide portfolio of work from his extensive travels throughout Africa. His private photographic workshops and daily Photographic activities are focused around the guest photographer and their specific photographic needs. To ensure his guests get the complete package, he is also registered with FGASA (Field Guides Association of South Africa) to meet all other national and international standards of services possible.

Andrew has delivered numerous keynote presentations, to aspiring photographers in Southern Africa, where he shares his passion and love of photography. Andrew’s simple technical approach to photography has made his teaching / sharing methods unique.

His #creatingphotography motto is infectious and helps even seasoned photographers hone their skills when on an adventure or workshop.
