Jaci’s Lodges has been very busy lately, and especially now that our Photographic Residencies hosted by acclaimed wildlife and nature photographer, Andrew Aveley, have been taking place. Andrew has been assisting guests with their photography during safaris, from the Terrapin Hide as well as during post processing sessions.
When you are staying at the lodge, you can book activities with Andrew like a morning safari, Terrapin Hide Session or Afternoon Safari, and with that you also get to use our pro level DSLR equipment. Andrew will guide you through camera operations, right through to helping you with compositions, playing with light and assisting you to create your photographic vision. It is brilliant, as you get to choose which activities you want to do with Andrew, and then you can resume your normal safari routine knowing that you have those “iconic” African Images safely stored on the memory card we supply.
Although Andrew doesn’t pick up his camera often during photographic safaris (as he is assisting guests), we did manage to get some images from him taken recently. We hope you enjoy them as much as we did.
