Where did you work before / experience / training / background?
With my love for the bush I knew from an early age that this is what I want to do. After completing my Travel & Tourism studies in 2006, I stepped into my first job at a Lodge in 2007. From there I wanted to learn as much as I can and have had some great times working in Lodges in the Lowveld and KZN, a Hotel in the city and then finally being able to join the Jaci’s Team. For me there is nothing like working in the bush.
What Draws you to Jacis Lodges / Madikwe?
New and exciting area. Jan & Jaci, that made me feel part of the family from the first day. And ofcoursre all the colours in the lodge, who does not like that?
What do you love about your job?
That not one day is the same. Everyday is like a surpise waiting for me, I get to meet new people, be in the bush and just living out my passion and love for the industry.
First Impressions of our first day at work?
WOW!!! What a place!!! The staff & management were so welcoming and made me feel part of the family from the first day. Even though I did start here with a Moonboot it did not stop me to get right into the swing of things!!!
What makes you get out of bed in the morning? Not knowing what the new day has instore for me. Knowing that I am going to meet new people and that I will be able to share my passion with all our guest in the Lodge.
