We recently launched our new specialised photographic residency at Jaci’s Lodges, hosted by Professional Wildlife and Nature photographer, Andrew Aveley in the Madikwe Game Reserve.

A specialised photographic vehicle that is equipped with Gimpro Game Viewer Mounts , which in turn can be fitted with top of the range DLSR cameras that were chosen for their infield wildlife photography potential and are available to users of this vehicle.

The photographic vehicle departs twice daily, with the aim to improve your nature photography and capture some unique images. Prior to departure,Andrew walks you through the operations of the camera, the gimpro as well as the important safety aspects of a safari actvity . During the time out on drive , Andrew can cover many varing aspects of photography , asses a scene and provide you with unique and creative insights specific to that moment that you can see through your lens.

Once back at the lodge, you can book a hide session in the unique, submerged Terrapin Hide to experince capturing images from water level. Here you can expect everything from black smith lapwings, kingfishers, large herds of elephants, impalas, wildebeest, zebra or one of the many predators that are resident in the reserve.

Alternativly you can book Andrew for a Digital Development session in Jaci’s  development lounge on a specialized big screen to review your images and be given some basic development instruction in Lightroom or Canon Digital Professional.

After the photographic experience, you just remove your memory card with all your quality JPG images on ready to go.

Andrew will be at the lodge as the resident photographic professional for 8 sessions in 2016, with each session ranging from 10 – 14 days, as well as running a childrens photographic safari and being a photographic guide on the much anticipated Maydikwe Festival.
